Privacy Policy

What we collect

• When you sign in with Google: your name, email address and profile photo, as shared by your Google account.
• When you join the cohort waitlist: your years of experience, along with the account details above.
• When you pay for access: your name, email, and payment details (processed by Razorpay).
• Basic usage analytics (pages visited, buttons clicked) via Google Analytics, to understand what content helps and what does not.

How we use it

• To contact you about the cohort batch you joined the waitlist for, including early bird pricing.
• To manage your access to course content.
• We do not sell your data, share it with third parties for marketing, or send unrelated promotional email.

Where it lives

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Authentication), which we use as our backend. Google's own Firebase privacy terms apply to that storage.

Your choices

Want your data removed from the waitlist or your account deleted? Email hello@desiarchitect.com and we will delete it. No hoops.

Terms of Use

• The content on this site (lessons, videos, diagrams, the Tadka capstone material) is owned by The Desi Architect and is for your personal learning. Do not redistribute or resell it.
• Joining the waitlist is free and is not a purchase. It reserves nothing and charges nothing; it only means we contact you first when a batch opens.
• Cohort enrollment, payment and access terms are shared at the time the batch opens, before any payment is taken.
• Session recordings are watermarked and licensed to the enrolled student only.

Refund Policy

1. Self-Paced Teaching Materials & Digital Access (Non-Refundable)

All digital self-paced access passes, including System Design + LLD, Hands-on Docker Labs, AI Systems Architecture, DSA / Switch Pack, Interview Vault, and All-Access passes, grant immediate, unhindered access to our complete curriculum upon successful payment.

Because access to proprietary notes, system architecture teardowns, runnable Docker sandbox environments, and solution codebases is delivered digitally and instantaneously, all purchases of digital learning materials, interview vault passes, and lab sandboxes are strictly final and non-refundable.

To ensure complete clarity before you pay, we offer extensive free previews across every track, including full-length curriculum lessons, sample problem walk-throughs, free hands-on Docker sandbox labs, and architectural decision guides. Access is a one-time charge for a fixed duration (30 or 90 days) and never renews automatically.

2. Live System Design Cohort (First-Class Guarantee)

We want you in the live cohort only if the interactive teaching style, live code reviews, and weekend pacing genuinely suit you. We offer a transparent, zero-risk guarantee for your first class:

• Experience the first session: Attend the complete first live class (Day 1).
• Eligible refund window: If you decide the cohort format or teaching style is not the right fit, you can request a 100% full refund by emailing hello@desiarchitect.com after the first class and before the second day's class begins. Your refund will be processed in full, with no questions asked and no hoops to jump through.
• Strict cutoff after Day 2 starts: Because cohort seats are strictly capped to preserve small-group mentorship, live teardowns, and personal feedback, no refunds will be provided once the second day of the cohort has started.

How to Request a Cohort Refund

For cohort refunds within the eligible first-class window, send an email to hello@desiarchitect.com from your registered account email along with your payment receipt or Razorpay payment ID. Eligible refunds are credited back to your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days.
